Established in 2020 at the Don Bosco Technical Institute in Dodoma, the AITeC Dodoma site is a thriving hub of agricultural education, innovation, and regional impact. Developed through a strategic partnership between Water 4 Mercy and Don Bosco Tanzania, this 6-acre (2.5-hectare) Agricultural Innovation and Technology Center provides hands-on training, cutting-edge research, and practical demonstrations of Israeli farming technologies—right in the heart of Tanzania’s capital.

A Regional Model for Agricultural Transformation

AITeC Dodoma serves as the central platform for advancing sustainability, food security, and capacity building in the region. Equipped with drip and sprinkler irrigation, greenhouses, a vineyard, a fruit tree orchard, and a seedling nursery, the farm functions as both a commercial-scale operation and a living classroom for future agronomists and farmers.

As a key site for Water 4 Mercy’s Agricultural Diplomacy initiative, AITeC Dodoma also promotes international collaboration, having hosted interns from Morocco and local university partners, including students from Mbeya University as part of the Global FEWture Alliance supported by the University of Maryland.
